Children growing to be their own person

Among the standards and sanctions imposed on children by their family, peers and society - a child's personal attributes and identity are lost somewhere through the years of pressure that he or she experiences.

Thus it is important - in the competitive world of today - that parents be a source of support to their child, not a constant cause of stress. The first way to do that is not continuously pressure one's child to take up certain careers just for the sake of a safe life ahead. A child can really grow to be his or her own person if he is given the space to take his decisions on his own.
